Have you reached out to speak with an owner to resolve your issue? It seems that maybe the labor policy could be what you are describing. When a technician works on a vehicle for a week, labor costs are incurred no matter what. Would you work for a week for free? In these situations, a car owner sometimes asks to try for the cheap and easy fix while being advised in advance that it may not fix the actual problem. A transmission has many moving parts. It is a complex machine. It is almost impossible to diagnose perfectly without dis-assembly. Our managers and technicians know this throughout the company. Our labor for technicians is very important as well. When your vehicle takes up a lift and a technician, that costs the company. Another car could’ve been on that lift and the technician could’ve been working on another paying job. Please understand, this is very difficult time consuming work. If you need to speak with someone, please reach out so this can be explained and resolved.
